'Land's End'
(Pen on OS map, 85cm x 90cm, 2024)
Once barriers are conceived they are mapped. To end the struggles of land misuse and controlled movement, the map has to be rebooted to give paths of access and flow. By redacting the names of the land/ places which were fought for, stolen or renamed, you can get a glimpse of what the landscape was before. Only when the maps are reconfigured can we begin to confront the illusion of otherness.
