Cut & Paste - Collapsing Typographic Systems
Risograph prints, transfer type assemblages
The theme is explored through transfer type systems and risograph printing process. Here we see typographic elements deconstructed to create new and alternative forms. The systems that depict people are used in this typographic triptych, part of a collection called Letraset Architecture, printed in 1972; mass produced rub down type used in commercial settings and now obsolete. These artefacts are being reused in collages consisting of a variety of typefaces which are cut and reassembled. A space where people are navigating through new landscapes of interruptions, interventions and disruption.
